Dr Sarah-Kate Millar is a Senior Lecturer in skill acquisition at AUT. Previously she was a Health and PE teacher here in NZ and the UK. Sarah-Kate trained at Canterbury and is predominately involved in the area of sports coaching; but more recently she has returned to the field of Physical Education. She is the leading New Zealand expert in how contemporary skill acquisition can implemented in the Physical Education and boarder environment. In particular, she is on the High-Performance Sport NZ advisory panel for skill acquisition and also a more recent SportNZ advisory panel for how to integrate skill acquisition into secondary school sport coaching. Sarah-Kate has an in-depth knowledge of contemporary approaches to skill acquisition and is involved in applied research in this area.
